CICS 2012 Happy Holidays Art Contest RESULTS!

Chicago International Charter School is pleased to announce the winners of the 2012 Happy Holidays Art Contest. In addition to the grand prize and grade level awards, two new categories were added to reflect the high quality of work provided by each participating campus and the funniest piece. Prize details are outlined below.

Grand Prize

Shayla L., CICS Irving Park, 4^th grade

The grand prize artwork will be reproduced as a holiday greeting card to be mailed to CICS donors and friends in January 2013. The artist will receive a $50 Target gift card and $100 in art supplies for her school.

Runners Up (grade level awards)

K-4 – Orlando L., CICS West Belden, 3^rd grade

5-8 – Galilea F.. CICS West Belden, 8^th grade

9-12 – Raven H., CICS Ralph Ellison, 12^th grade

Artists recognized as best in their grade range will receive a $25 Target gift card.

Honorable Mention (campus awards)

CICS Loomis – Ashlynn R., 2^nd grade

CICS Avalon  – David T., 2^nd grade

CICS Lloyd Bond – Indigo J., 3^rd grade

Honorable Mention (funniest artwork)

Aylene L., CICS West Belden, 5^th grade

Artists recognized with honorable mention will receive a $10 Target gift card.

The goal in featuring student work is to reflect our “children first” values and give everyone in the CICS community an opportunity to connect with our students more directly. Award winning artwork will also be featured on the CICS Facebook page. Thank you so much to everyone who participated!
